What is admin abuse?
In Roblox games, admin abuse is a live event where a game's developers use their admin powers on a busy server: they boost everyone's gains, change the rules or hand out rewards for a short while. Players watch for the times because the boosts never last. Speed Storms are Speed Obby's fair version: the same doubled gains for everyone at once, on a fixed schedule you can plan for.
What a Storm does
While a Storm runs, every Speed gain is doubled: steps on the course, Wall Kicks and treadmill training at base. A countdown appears on screen when a Storm is less than an hour away and keeps counting while it lasts, so you always know how long is left.
Storms are shared: everyone playing gets the same doubled gains at the same moment, whichever room they are in.
Stack your boosts
A Storm multiplies on top of your other temporary boosts:
- Free boost. Five minutes of double Speed, claimed from the menu at base or a cleared safe stop. It's free once every 15 minutes while you're online.
- Speed Potion. Double Speed for ten minutes, bought with Gems in the Shop. More potions add more time, up to an hour.
The free boost and Speed Potions share one timer. Together with a Storm, that timer makes every gain four times normal.
Make the most of twenty minutes
- Get to base before it starts. Claim the free boost there, then pick your plan.
- Run or train, whichever suits you. Doubled gains apply to steps through rooms you can clear and to ticks on your best treadmill alike.
- Bank early. Each trophy you bank adds 10% to every gain, including the rest of the Storm.
